BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Launch Credit Union opened its second branch in Titusville on July 8 at 90 South Singleton Avenue. Titusville Mayor Dan Diesel, several members of Launch’s Board of Directors, CEO Joe Mirachi, and the Titusville and Cocoa Beach area regional chambers of commerce helped cut the ribbon to make it official.
“We saw the need to grow in the Titusville and Mims area, with over 11,000 members already and growing,” said Kelly Haskins, vice president of marketing.
“Our long-time members shared their excitement on grand opening day, happy to have a branch on the northwest side of Titusville, closer to home. We also welcomed 60 new members on grand opening day. People have come to know Launch as a strong, long-time member of the community, and we exist to help our members achieve their financial goals.
The original Titusville branch is located at 3950 US 1 in Titusville. It has served members since 1991.
“I am thrilled to be opening this second branch in Titusville,” says Stephanie Baker, Manager of the new Titusville-Singleton Branch, who grew up in Titusville.
“I am raising my family here and happy to give back to the community. My goal is to help other families here in Titusville and Mims buy their first home, their first car, or help get them in a good financial position. In these tough economic times, people are looking for ways to get the most out of their money.
“For the past few years, our members have refinanced their homes to pitch to save money, and now that their homes have built up equity, many members come to us to use that equity to improve their homes or for other big projects. Launch also recently increased its deposit rates, so people are now opening certificates (CDs) and money market accounts to get the most out of their money.
“Launch continually develops and improves its financial products and services,” Haskins says.
“Launch recently upgraded its digital banking suite, added merchant lending services, retirement and investment services, corporate and business loans, and is always looking to improve and offer even more. to its members. The bigger we grow, the better we can meet the financial needs of our members.
As part of giving back to the community, during the grand opening celebration, Launch presented a donation to the Hummingbird Pantry in the amount of $1,963, the year Launch Credit Union was established.
The Hummingbird Pantry is a non-profit organization that is a partner of Second Harvest Food Bank and helps the hungry and homeless in Brevard. “Credit unions have always been and always will be people who help others,” Haskins says.
“We are proud to be able to contribute to our local communities.”
