Travis Credit Union appoints chief human resources officer
VACAVILLE — Catherine Johnson has been named senior vice president and chief human resources officer of Travis Credit Union.
Johnson’s selection was announced in a press release.
She will have the supervision and responsibility for the caisse’s human resources; learning and development; and diversity, equity and inclusion engagement programs, as well as being an integral part of the leadership team, according to Kevin Miller, president and CEO of Travis Credit Union.
Johnson will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for all disciplines that fall under human resources and training, including the execution of the credit union‘s long-term human capital business plan which includes organizational learning , internal communications, cultural alignment, leadership development, succession planning, organizational design, human resource management, and diversity and inclusion initiatives to support culture, values, and strategic vision of the organization made up of more than 600 employees.
Prior to her appointment, Johnson spent five years as vice president of human resources at the Center for Senior Independence in Oakland. Her background includes positions as Director of Global Human Resources Programs for Menlo Worldwide/Con-Way Inc., an international logistics and supply chain company with more than 5,000 employees in 22 countries, in San Mateo; and Director of HR Programs at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland.
Travis Credit Union is based in Vacaville.
