The Navy Federal Credit Union renews its commitment to the Military Bowl
The Military Bowl Foundation is proud to announce that the Navy Federal Credit Union will continue its long-standing partnership with the Military Bowl. The Navy Federal Credit Union has sponsored the National Capital Region College Football Playoff Bowl Game since 2014.
“The Navy Federal Credit Union plays an important role in the lives of so many service members and their families,” said Steve Beck, president and executive director of the Military Bowl Foundation. “The Navy Federal and the Military Bowl share a strong commitment to supporting the men and women of the country’s armed forces. We appreciate the sponsorship from Navy Federal and look forward to continuing to work together.
As part of the sponsorship, Navy Federal will continue to honor Navy Federal ROTC Student of the Year during the Military Bowl game.
“This scholarship program supports service members early in their military careers,” said Matt Lawson, vice president of branch operations for the Navy Federal Credit Union. “It is moving to see so many ROTC students dedicate themselves to military service and become exemplary members of their community. We are honored to once again recognize the best students at this year’s Military Bowl.
This year’s Military Bowl presented by Peraton, to benefit the USO, will be held on Monday, December 27 at 2:30 p.m. ET and televised on ESPN. Tickets go on sale November 1. The match will again pit teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference against the American Athletic Conference. Proceeds from the Bowl benefit USO and Patriot Point, the 294-acre Military Bowl Foundation retreat for wounded, ill and injured service members, their families and caregivers.
