Izwe Savings and Loans Opens Applications for Postgraduate Scholarship

Izwe Savings & Loans invites High School (SHS) graduates who have excellent grades and are truly in financial need to apply for the Izwe Scholarship Fund to pursue undergraduate or equivalent programs of their choice for the academic year 2022/2023.

Chief Executive, Raymond Kwakye Bismarck, said, “The fund is activated annually to support successful applicants through their graduate studies as part of Izwe’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact on lives through to sponsored education.

The scholarship aims to build capacity and empower our young generation to drive change and contribute to the development of Ghana”.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship fund is offered for the minimum period necessary for the individual to complete an academic program specified by the educational institution of his choice.

The scholarship will cover the required academic usage fees and approved coursebooks necessary for the recipient to pursue the program of their choice.


Applicant must be a Ghanaian SHS graduate in need of financial support for higher education. They must have a high school certificate with a maximum mark of 10 and not be older than 22 years.

The candidate must also have gained admission into any of the public tertiary universities in Ghana. Freshmen currently at a public university who meet the above criteria may also apply.

How to register

The applicant must complete an application form on www.izwe.com.gh including a brief motivational essay (500 words) explaining why the applicant should receive the scholarship.

Finally, proof of eligibility detailed above is required (i.e. an SHS certificate from the school attended and a report card, birth certificate, letter of admission to an institution of higher education, etc).

Deadline for submitting applications: August 25, 2022.
