AEA Federal Credit Union Donates to Humane Society of Yuma
Humane Society receives donation to save more animals
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – The Federal Credit Union of the AEA recently presented a check for $ 2,935 to the Humane Society of Yuma.
The donation funds were raised through the Jeans Giver program, a one-year program where AEA employees donate $ 5 or $ 10 to wear jeans.
A charity to donate to is then chosen by employees in each quarter, which has been decided by the Humane Society of Yuma.
Athena Godwin, Senior Vice President of Retail and AEA Humane Society of Yuma Board Member, said, “Animals deserve so much because they give unconditionally. The humanitarian society of
Yuma’s mission to reduce the number of homeless pets is a testament to my love of animals and
means so much to me that the AEA team selected them for this donation. “
The mission of the Humane Society of Yuma is “to reduce the number of homeless pets through adoption, rescue and sterilization programs.” They have been dedicated to the care of animals since 1963.
